Tribe Relations Office
Currently recruiting a new trustee!
What is the Tribal Relations Office?
The brainchild of the now-retired Najika Zajika, the office seeks to better understand and work with Tribes all over the world to share knowledge, wisdom, and culture. The aim is to build stronger relations between disparate groups in order to carve a way forward for all. The plots take place post-Endwalker, so it is important to have cleared through to the most recent Endwalker patches in order to participate.
What kinds of things can we do?
The Tribe Relations quests will usually take a specific format, which is player-led. The Trustee will call a meeting to get everyone together to decide which tribe they will work with next and put it to a vote. The group will then decide what it is they need to understand about the tribe before making contact with them in order to avoid cultural misunderstandings and go away to find out more about those things as individual quests.
The Trustee will after all have completed their quests call everyone back together to share their knowledge, before reaching out for a meeting with the tribe. From there, a Reputation System is put in place, with quests that players can participate in to build trust and reputation with the tribe. Once Reputation has been won, there will be a Big Quest which upon completion the tribe will then be considered an ally to the group. They may then occasionally call for aid, or offer help in times of need, to the participants. Then the cycle repeats again.
Do I need to understand every tribe in the game to play?
No, you are given plenty of time in order to research each tribe before the quests with them start that affect reputation, so both IC and OOC, you're given enough time to learn anything you would like to.
Does this include Xaela or Keeper/Seeker tribes?
No. This is for the tribes formally known as 'Beast Tribes' only, though through the work that the characters are doing, it may be one day feasible to turn it into a wider ambassadorial initiative.
How often is this scheduled?
This runs ad-hoc and the trustee advertises it at the start of each new tribe on the Centre's noticeboard. You can also come along to just about any event and just start RPing with us. There is no time frame to complete each tribe, and these fun and whimsical quests are designed to be played out in downtime when people are available without the pressure of it needing to be done within x amounts of weeks.
